Wilma Faye Casey

Wilma Faye Casey, age 87, of Waco, passed away early Friday afternoon, December 9, 2022 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, with Rev. Wayne Williams officiating.

Wilma was born December 14, 1934 in Hebron, Nebraska the daughter of Leonard and Martha (Schutte) Dankenbring. She was a 1952 graduate of Sherman Community High School in Goodland, Kansas. On May 4, 1979 she was united in marriage to Pearson Casey in Waco. Pearson preceded her in death on March 22, 2016. Wilma was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead.  Wilma enjoyed working with crafts, attending craft shows with her husband, dancing at Geneva Hall, and spending time with family and friends.

Wilma is also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debbie Griffin; and sisters, Dolores Peter and Lucille Leitner.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Chris Griffin and wife Dixie of Robinson, Marc  Griffin and wife Candy of Jarrell, and Chelsea Brooks and husband Blake of Waco; three great grandchildren, Brooke, Colton, and Marcus Griffin; a sister, Arlene Mesloh; a former husband, Larry Hartley and wife Barbara; step-daughters, Treva Brown and Renee Webb; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
