Wanda Lee Yeager, age 88, of Waco, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 7, 2026 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West.
Wanda was born on June 7, 1937, in Gainesville, Texas, the cherished daughter of Elmer and Bessie (Day) Turner. She spent her formative years surrounded by the warmth of her family and attendeing schools in Gainesville. On July 23, 1979, Wanda found love and companionship when she married James Yeager in Andrews, Texas. Together, they forged a life filled with laughter, support, and shared moments that will forever be treasured by those who knew them. She was a devoted homemaker and mother. She was known for her exceptional cooking and baking, with her home often filled with the aroma of delightful meals and sweet treats. She had a gift for sewing. In her quieter moments, Wanda could be found watching her favorite shows. Wanda was a member of the Waco Life Church, where she not only nurtured her faith but also built lasting friendships.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Donnie and Ronnie Reeves; a daughter, Debbie Tyler; and a brother, Weldon Turner.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 46 years, James Yeager of Waco; a son, Troy Yeager and wife Anna of Greenville; 16 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; a brother, Roy Turner and wife Barbara; a sister, Gale Fielder; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Waco Life Church.
