Vivian Chlodell (Boen) Laake, age 94, of West, went to be with JESUS during the SuperBowl on Sunday, February 12, 2023. She was surrounded by family and friends that loved her very much at The Atrium in Bellmead.
Per her request, no services will be held.
Vivian was born November 6, 1928 in Olney, the daughter of Thomas and Pollie (Kee) Boen. She spent the most part of her life in Arroyo City on the "Arroyo Piers", the most beautiful place ever. Vivian spent a great deal of time watering, taking care of the landscaping, and fishing. She was raised in the Church of Christ and stuck to that until she was introduced to the Trinity Broadcasting Network. She really loved her Church of Christ family in West. During her time at The Atrium, the staff enjoyed going into her room and listening to TBN with her. As long as her hair and nails were done, and the television was on TBN, Vivian was happy. She really enjoyed having the Bible read to her.
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents; twelve siblings; and a son, Fred Lee.
Survivors include her son, Don Ed Baskin of Cross Plains and his daughters, Mary Ann, Jana, and Kim; daughter, Katy Pustejovsky and husband Ronnie of West, along with bonus granddaughter, Dawn Picha and grandsons, Jack Deiterman and wife Brandi of Hewitt: and Frank Deiterman of Ellsworth, Kansas; son, Joe Lee of Lubbock and his daughter Tarna; grandson, Dylan Lee, son of Fred Lee; and many great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Atrium Activity Fund.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and The Atrium for their compassionate and loving care given to our mother.
