Theresa Jean (Kimsey) McHargue, age 64, of West, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 14, 2025 at Ridgecrest Retirement Center in Waco.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2025 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Robert Leather officiating. Burial will follow at Mesquite Cemetery near Birome. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Theresa was born on March 31, 1961, in Waco, the daughter of Jake and Elberta (Bieler) Kimsey. A proud 1979 graduate of Axtell High School, Theresa's journey through life was shaped by her warm spirit and unwavering dedication to her family. On September 12, 1980, Theresa was united in marriage to Clint McHargue in Leroy until his passing on June 30, 1995. Theresa was a member of The Leroy Church, where she found strength in her faith. Theresa managed several property rentals, worked as a waitress at the Auction Barn in West, and poured her heart into farming. She embraced life's simple pleasures, enjoying camping, fishing, crafting, sewing, painting, and playing bingo and cards. A true sports enthusiast, Theresa found joy in cheering for her children as they played, and her love for family and friends was evident in every gathering she hosted.

Theresa is also preceded in death by her parents and sons, Colby and Chad McHargue.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Logan, Nathaniel, and Aidan Green; brothers, Jim Thornhill and wife Rosie, Harold Thornhill Jr and wife Fely Ted Kimsey, and Jay Kimsey and wife Christine; a sister, Eileen Armstrong and husband Joe; special family friend, Kevin Lander; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers are Logan Green, Nathaniel Green, Aidan Green, Ryan Wilcox, Richard Kussmaul, and Devin Orr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mesquite Cemetery.
