It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa Ann (Mashek) Claridy, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us peacefully on May 18th, 2025, at the age of 60.
A Celebration of Theresa's Life will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 23rd, 2025, at Aderhold Funeral Home, where we will gather to share stories and memories, honoring the incredible woman she was. The family will receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Born on November 18th, 1964, in Hillsboro, Theresa was a remarkable woman whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was known for her unwavering love and dedication to her family. As a wife, mother, and friend, Theresa was a source of strength and inspiration, nurturing her children with boundless affection and wisdom. Her laughter could light up any room, and her generous spirit made her a cherished friend to many.
Throughout her life, Theresa pursued her passions with enthusiasm, whether it be drinking Dr. Pepper, enjoying music, nicknaming her grandchildren, and spending time with her beloved husband, Donathan Claridy, and her precious dog Scout. Theresa had a unique ability to find joy in life's simple pleasures. She was also a devout Catholic, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, and Catholic Daughters of America.
Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Edward Louis Mashek III; her grandparents, Edward Louis "Bearcat" Mashek and Mary Ann Grimm; and an aunt, Pat Lassetter.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Donathan Claridy; her mother, Gena (Busby) Oberhoff; her children, Bubba & Debbie Keel, Nicholas & Kristin "K.K." Overstreet, Halee Reed, Tyler & Kelli Anderson, and Jacob & Destiny Claridy; grandchildren, Skylar "Gran" Keel, Lane Allen Cole Keel, Landen Hightower, Evan Hightower, Kessler Blayne, Rylan Overstreet, Londyn "Squish" Brielle, Coy Wayne "Slick" Anderson, Kason Claridy, Emma Claridy, Hannah-Ann West, and Spencer Jr. West; her brothers, Edward Louis Mashek IV and wife Gina, Nick Mashek, and Shawn Moore; her sisters, Shannon Lerma and Lisa Dulock; and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
As we say goodbye to our beloved mother, we carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience, forever grateful for the time we had with her.
The family requests donations be made to the Cameron Park Zoo or an animal shelter of your choice, reflecting Theresa's compassionate heart and love for animals.
