Ronnie Gene Livingston, age 79, of West, passed away Saturday morning, July 12, 2025 at Avir in Hillsboro.
Per Ronnie's request, private family services will be held at a later date.
Ronnie was born on October 26, 1945, in Waco, the son of Walter Livingston and Roxie (Penkert) Sugar. He was a proud graduate of LaVega High School in 1964 and went on to earn an Associate Degree from McLennan Community College. Ronnie's dedication to his country was evident during his service in the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of Airman 3rd Class before his honorable discharge in 1965. He was a committed member of the Southern Drag Boat Association and the West Volunteer Ambulance Association. He also regularly donated blood to Carter Blood Care, embodying the spirit of generosity that defined his character. With a successful career in beverage sales, Ronnie served as an operations manager for Midstate Beverage Company for 25 years, followed by a 15-year tenure at Glazer's Beer and Beverage, before retiring in 2013. Known for his warm heart and infectious laughter, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life-listening to his favorite musicians, Willie Nelson and Tom Petty, and making cherished memories with his family. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and granddoggers, "Oakley" and "Bevo".
Ronnie is also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Walter Livingston.
Survivors include his daughter, Laci Spanos and husband Bobby of West; grandchildren, Presley Bettge, Peyton Gerik, Kameron Spanos, and Korbin Spanos; his sisters, Patricia Livingston and husband Jim and Sonia Garcia and husband Robert; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
