Richard Andrle

September 7, 1952 — May 27, 2025

Richard George Andrle, age 72, of Bellmead, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 27, 2025 at The Atrium in Bellmead.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Richard was born September 7, 1952 in Bellmead, the son of Gabriel and Annie (Jurek) Andrle. He was a 1973 graduate of LaVega High School and earned an associate's degree in grocery management from Texas State Technical College. Richard dedicated his professional life to the grocery industry during his years of service at Albertson's and Safeway in Bellmead and Waco. His career, which spanned several decades, also included meaningful time spent at Lynn's Pharmacy in Bellmead, Keen's Department Store in Eastgate, and Green's Pharmacy in Bellmead. He retired in 2014, leaving behind his years of hard work. Richard had a passion for collecting odds and ends that sparked interest to him. He found comfort in the small things, whether it be watching television, enjoying a refreshing Dr. Pepper, or rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. Richard's greatest moments were often spent in quiet reflection, taking time alone with his thoughts.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Joe Andrle; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Andrle.

Survivors include his brothers, Frank Andrle and Jan Kriegel, and William "Bill" Andrle and wife Debbie; sister-in-law, Paula Andrle; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network.
