Raymond was born on September 3, 1929, in Tours, the son of Carl and Emilie (Rauschhuber) Glatter. He was raised in and attended schools in Tours and West. Raymond was united in marriage to Dorothy Herring on April 24, 1954, in West, Texas. Their shared journey was filled with love and laughter until Dorothy's passing on February 12, 2022. His devotion to family was immeasurable, as he took immense joy in gathering his loved ones together to celebrate holidays and special occasions. His commitment to service extended into his community, where he was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and the Knights of Columbus Council #2305, where he was the oldest living member. For 32 years, he worked diligently at General Tire and Rubber Company in Waco, contributing to the manufacturing industry and standing as a proud member of the United Steel Workers Union. Raymond had a passion for woodworking, carpentry, and welding. He found tranquility and joy in the outdoors, often tending to his yard, creating handmade Christmas decorations, and camping at the lake.
