Patricia Brown

Lila Patricia (Pinter) Brown, age 82, of Waco, passed away early Thursday morning, April 24, 2025 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco.

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at St. Mary's Cemetery near West, with Deacon Ronnie Sykora officiating. Patricia will lie-in-state from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home.

Patricia was born December 18, 1942 in Dallas, the daughter of Valerian and Lila (Nix) Pinter. A member of the Class of 1961 at Waco High School, she showcased her talents on the tennis court and as a clarinet player and twirler for the Lion Band and the West High School Trojan Band. On May 11, 1996, Patricia found love and partnership when she married Orborn Brown in Woodway. The years they shared together were filled with devotion, laughter, and countless family gatherings. As a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, her faith was a guiding light in her life. Patricia dedicated her professional life to serving as an Administrative Assistant, utilizing her organizational skills at various esteemed companies, including West Bank and Trust, Goodyear Factory, Lummus Crest Engineering Firm, and Chrysler Corporation. Her work was a testament to her commitment and reliability. Beyond her professional pursuits, Patricia had a passion for computers and gardening, often finding solace and joy in nurturing her plants. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Patricia is preceded in death by her father, Valerian Pinter; a daughter, Terri McClellan; and brother, James Pinter.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 28 years, Orborn Brown of Woodway; her mother, Lila Pinter Markovitz of Waco; her children, Deborah Elwell of Richmond, Todd Lewis of Killeen, and Patrick Lewis of Woodway; grandchildren, Sara Lewis and Matthew McClellan; and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
