Nick was born August 23, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Floyd and Helen (Pfeiffer) Kingrey. He attended Twin Valley North High School in Lewisburg, Ohio. On February 7, 1976, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Marilyn Elaine Flack, in Eaton, Ohio. She preceded him in death on January 17, 2021.
Nick and Marilyn moved to Texas and he worked with his brother, the late Robert "Bob" Kingrey, remodeling homes. He later worked at General Tire, Vesuvius USA, Rio Brazos Coop in the bus barn, and various other maintenance jobs. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, including deer hunting with PJ, tractor pulling with Becky, Sunday breakfasts with Shelbi, garage selling with Lexi and Ryan, fishing with Lane, and attending all of their extracurricular activities. He also enjoyed working on antique tractors and automobiles, bringing them back to life and showing them off in tractor and car shows.
Survivors include his son, Jason "PJ" Kingrey and wife Stephanie, and his daughter, Becky Perry and husband Ronnie, all of West; his grandchildren, Shelbi Kingrey, of Temple, and Lexi Kingrey, Ryan Perry and Lane Perry, all of West; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends; his best companion, Wee Wee; and his best friend, Ricky Adams.
Pallbearers are Ryan Perry, Lane Perry, Ronnie Perry, Chris Kingrey, Tim Kingrey, Jack Wiley, Dustin Massingill, and Doug Hand. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Adams, Shelbi Kingrey, Lexi Kingrey, Tony Dixon and Edwin Sulak.
