Marie A. Mynarcik

Marie A. (Pustejovsky) Mynarcik, age 87, of West, passed away early Monday morning, January 27, 2014 at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Marie was born January 7, 1927 in West, the daughter of Otto J. and Annie (Ruzicka) Pustejovsky. She attended schools in Abbott and Brooken. On November 20, 1946 she was united in marriage to Joseph J. "Joe" Mynarcik Jr. Marie worked for Woods Manufacturing, Village Bakery and the Ben Franklin Store before retiring in 1989. She was a lifelong and faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Marie was also a member of the K.J.T. Society #31 and K.J.Z.T. Society #11. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, dancing and listening to Czech music. She especially loved spending time with her family. Marie is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Adolph Pustejovsky and John Pustejovsky; and a sister, Frances Barnett. Survivors include her beloved husband of 67 years, Joe Mynarcik, Jr. of West; three sons, Larry Mynarcik and wife Diana, Michael Mynarcik and wife Sara and Joey Mynarcik III, all of West; a daughter, Pat Filer and husband David of West; grandchildren, Laurie Craig and husband Bob, Larry Mynarcik Jr. and wife Jennifer, Jana Polansky and husband David, Sherry Hueske and husband Billy, Kimberly Andrae and husband James, Alexander Mynarcik and wife Kara and Philip Mynarcik; great grandchildren, Cailey, Clayton, Macie, Dakota, Matthew, Blane, Morgan, Stockton and Slade; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Larry Mynarcik Jr., Alex Mynarcik, Philip Mynarcik, Ronnie Barnett, Richard Pustejovsky and Dennis Pustejovsky. Honorary pallbearers are James Andrae, Bob Craig, David Polansky, Billy Hueske, Kara Mynarcik and Jennifer Mynarcik. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Rest Haven Disaster Relief Fund.
