Margaret "Marge" (Piscacek) Deiterman, age 88, of West, passed away Monday afternoon, May 12, 2025 at West Rest Haven.

A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Marge was born on July 7, 1936, in West, Texas, the daughter of the late Hubert and Sophie (Soukup) Piscacek. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School and graduated from West High School in 1954. On October 6, 1954, she married the love of her life, Arthur Deiterman, in West. They were blessed with six children and shared a wonderful life together until Arthur's passing on October 27, 2011. A devoted member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, Marge was deeply involved in her faith community. She sang with the PTC Choir, was a proud member of Catholic Daughters of America Court #829, and the KJZT St. Ludmilla Society #11. She also served on the Parish Council's Finance Committee and taught religious education to children. Additionally, she worked as the school librarian at St. Mary's, where her love for learning and service touched many young lives. Marge was also a lifetime member of the West VFW Post #4819 Auxiliary.

First and foremost, Marge was very proud of being a stay-at-home mom and grandmother and homemaker whose heart belonged to her family. She found great joy in cooking and baking, especially her homemade bread, kolaches, and buchtas. The kitchen was her favorite place, where she poured love into every dish and hosted countless family gatherings. Her greatest pride was in supporting her children and grandchildren, attending their events and cheering them on in everything they did. Marge's legacy is one of faith, family, and kindness. She had a big heart, positive attitude, and a quick wit mixed with sarcasm. Marge believed in the saying "If you see someone without a smile, give them yours". She took pride in getting people to smile in hopes they would have a better day. Marge leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and the warmth of a home always filled with love.

Survivors include her beloved children, Debbie and Melvin Coleman, Amy and Duane Podsednik, Dwain and Rhonda Deiterman, Carolyn and Kent Stevens, Mary and Frankie Pavelka, and Gary and Julie Deiterman, all of West; grandchildren, Lance and Heather Coleman, Nicki Coleman, Scott and Lindsey Podsednik, Shana Mench, Brittany and Jerry Lager, Blake Deiterman, Colton and Julia Soukup, Brandon Soukup, Frankie and Mikka Pavelka, and Andrew Pavelka; great-grandchildren, Hadleigh, Kain, Karisa, Makenna, Peytra, Nixon, Ezra, Giavanna, Molly, Kimber, Logan, Oliver, and Katherine Quinn; and a great great granddaughter, Leia; a brother, Mike and Carol Piscacek; sisters, Adele and Albin Poehls, Estelle Bartz, Pat and Roger Morrison, and Albina and Jack Anthony; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
