Jim Tunmire

James Arthur "Jim" Tunmire, age 46, of Elm Mott, passed away Tuesday afternoon, February 16, 2021 at his residence. A graveside memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Gholson Cemetery. Jim was born August 28, 1974 in Waco, the son of Willard and Deborah (Allison) Tunmire. He attended LaVega Schools. He worked as a mechanic for various employers for many years. Jim enjoyed airbrushing, drawing, camping, fishing, and anything outdoors. Jim is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Wayne Tunmire; his grandparents, Arthur and Leona Tunmire; and his grandfather, James R. Allison. Survivors include his beloved wife, Wendy Mitchell of Bellmead; his parents; two sisters, Deborah Avants and husband Jeremy, and Jessica Higgins and husband Jason; grandmother, Annis Allison; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aderhold Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
