Jeanette Donnell

Jeanette Marie Donnell, age 78, of West, passed away Monday night, August 17, 2026 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco.

A Memorial Service will be held 5:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2026 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Deacon Robin Waters officiating. The family will receive visitors following the service until 7:00 p.m.

Jeanette was born February 26, 1948, in Waco, the daughter of Edith (Moon) and Adolph Vochoska Sr. She attended school in West, where she grew up and made many memories that remained close to her heart throughout her life. On December 31, 1967, she was united in marriage to Timothy Donnell in West. Together, they shared many wonderful years until his passing on March 9, 2017. Jeanette was a former member of First Baptist Church in West and was also a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Elm Mott. She and her family owned and operated The Meat House in Bellmead, where Jeanette especially enjoyed visiting with customers. She had a welcoming nature, and the people who came through the doors often became more than customers, they became friends. She also gave her time helping to clean at local doctor's offices. Jeanette was a woman who found joy in the simple things. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden, keeping things clean and cared for, playing dominoes and bingo, and driving the school bus. She had a giving heart and was known for being a wonderful caregiver, always willing to lend a helping hand and care for those around her. Whether she was tending to her garden, visiting with a friend, or sharing a laugh with family, Jeanette had a way of making people feel comfortable and cared for.

Jeanette is also preceded in death by her parents; son, Patrick Donnell; grandson, Rance Donnell; and brothers, William Vochoska, and Adolph Vochoska Jr.

Survivors include her children, Kevin Donnell and wife Donna of Ross, and Dawn Markgraf and wife Janelle of Geneva, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Regina Donnell; grandchildren, Brett Donnell and Ilse Schumm, Hailey Donnell, Kourtney Donnell and Mike Barriga, Kambry Donnell and Brandon Bray, Savannah Branch, Jackson Branch, Peyton Donnell, Gavin Donnell and Ashley Watts, and Kensi Donnell and Keegan Hyde; sister, Helen Lucien; sister-in-law, Frances Vochoska; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Rance Donnell, Brett Donnell, Peyton Donnell, Gavin Donnell, Jackson Branch, Brandon Bray, and Mike Barriga.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Rock Cemetery Association.
