Jaye J Hutyra

Jaye J Hutyra, age 34, of West, passed away late Wednesday evening, May 28, 2025 at West Rest Haven in West.

A rosary will be recited and Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Walter Dhanwar as celebrant, assisted by Deacon Ronnie Sykora. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West.

Jaye J was born June 27, 1990 in West, the son of Johnny Hutyra and Jeannette Boonen. He attended schools in Germany and West High School. Jaye was a 2011 graduate of Lehman High School in Pennsylvania. Jaye J was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. He was also a member of Friends For Life in Waco. Jaye J enjoyed traveling, eating his favorite foods, swimming, working out, reading books, listening to music, and watching Marvel movies, especially Spiderman.

Jaye J is preceded in death by his grandparents, Emil and Marilyn Hutyra, Ernest Tobola, and Michael Boonen; and a uncle, Jerry Hutyra.

Survivors include his father, Johnny Hutyra and wife Lisa of West; his mother, Jeannette Boonen of Germany; brothers, Jaycee Hutyra and wife Rachel, Chris Williams, and Cory Williams; a nephew, John Hutyra; his grandmother, Doris Tobola; his grandparents, Elvira and Danny Jones; aunts and uncles, Theresa Polansky and husband Charlie, Jessica Hutyra, Tom Hutyra and wife Janice, Mary Schwartz, Anthony Hutyra, Charles "Chuck Roast" Hutyra, Richard Hutyra and wife Felisha, Ruthie Hutyra, Phyliss Teasdale and husband Brad, Matt Hutyra and wife Amy, Jeff Tobola and wife Terri, and Ralf Boonen; and many cousins, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Rest Haven Activity Fund or Friends for Life in Waco.

The family would like to thank the staff, residents and volunteers at West Rest Haven who were so kind and loving to Jaye J during his time at the rest home.
