Jackie Kirk

Jackie Wayne Kirk, age 76, of Axtell, passed away late Thursday night, February 2, 2023 at West Rest Haven in West.

Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Olive Branch Baptist Church near Axtell, with Dr. Rex Bland officiating.

Jackie was born January 8, 1947 in Dallas, the son of John and Birdie (Morgan) Kirk.  He was a graduate of Trinity Valley School in Dallas. On March 2, 1972 he was united in marriage to Deborah Stanley in Amarillo. Jackie proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Jackie was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. He worked for Allied Pump Company in Amarillo for 35 years before retiring in 2006. Jackie enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching old western movies, gunsmithing, and was an avid ammunition re-loader. He was a faithful Christian man with a great sense of humor who loved his wife, his family, and his dog, Molly.

Jackie is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenneth Kirk; and a sister, Louise Kirk.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Deborah Kirk of Axtell; his children, John Kirk of Las Vegas, Toni Moon of Oklahoma and Jennifer Farrar and husband David of Axtell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, J.B. Kirk and wife Avon; sister, Gloria Ernst; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Olive Branch Baptist Church.
