Helen Louise (Thibodeaux) Roberts, age 88, of Clifton, passed away late Sunday night, September 9, 2012 at Goodall Witcher Nursing Home in Clifton. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home chapel in West, with Rev. James Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Roberts was born August 18, 1924 in Baton Rouge, LA the daughter of Wallace L. and Mattie (Weaver) Thibodeaux. She attended schools in Baton Rouge and was a graduate of Istrouma High School. Helen was a Licensed Vocational Nurse working at many places including Baton Rouge General Hospital, Lady of the Lake Hospital and John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Helen enjoyed singing, playing the piano, harmonica and accordion, reading, playing bingo, dancing and Zumba. She especially loved spending time with her family and was known as being a very happy and outgoing person. Helen is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Leo Thibodeaux; four sisters, Betty Frank, Esther Raiford, Wilma Klienpetar, and Pearl Chaney. Survivors include two sons, Wesley Roberts of Ross and Michael Roberts of New Waverly; a brother, Morris Thibodeaux; a sister, Ella Mae Yeilding; grandchildren, Ryan Roberts, Holly Urbanovsky, Cody Roberts and Laci Roberts; great grandchildren, Karah Roberts and Paige and Kinsey Urbanovsky; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
