Ethel Marie Carroll, 87, passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 31, 2026.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2026 followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Kingwood First Baptist Church in Kingwood, Texas. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026 at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, Texas.
She was born February 16, 1939 to William and Beatrice Passon. Ethel's greatest joy was her family and she spent her time caring for and loving her them well. She enjoyed making plants grow around her house and cherished God's creatures by loving and caring for many dogs and cats over the years.
For over forty years, she found extreme pleasure in teaching, ministering to and sharing the love of Jesus with countless preschoolers and their families while serving in multiple church Mother's Day Out programs throughout Kingwood.
Additionally, she used her gift of hospitality, as a Ryland Homes hostess, to help many families find their perfect home in Kingwood and surrounding Houston area. Ethel was a member of Kingwood First Baptist Church where she enjoyed helping in the nursery on a regular basis.
Ethel is proceeded in death by her husband, parents, several siblings, in-laws, and a grandson. She was married to her husband, Charles G. Carroll for 59 years.
She is survived by her four children; Linda Carroll, Ken Carroll and wife Leslie, Cindy Sullivan and husband Wesley, Clay Carroll and wife Lori; a sister, Joyce Rau; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Since Ethel enjoyed children and flowers, your condolences can be expressed through donations to the preschool ministry at Kingwood First Baptist Church or through flowers.
You are invited to share your thoughts and memories of Ethel in our memorial guest book found at www.aderholdfuneralhome.com. Aderhold Funeral Home in West is in charge of local arrangements.
