Elizabeth was born on November 1, 1945, in Hillsboro, the daughter of O.D. "Dude" and Rubye (Hurst) Cook. She was a proud graduate of West High School, the class of 1963. On April 23, 1966, Elizabeth married the love of her life, Ken Sellers, in Waco. Together, they navigated life's journey, residing in various locations as she pursued a fulfilling career as a bookkeeper in the accounting industry. Elizabeth's dedication to her profession spanned many years, leading to her retirement in 2008. Ken preceded her in death on January 5, 2024, and she held his memory close in her heart. A devoted member of The Olive Branch Christian Fellowship in Waco and the Church on the Rock in Bellmead, Elizabeth's faith was a guiding light in her life. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often sitting at the piano or sewing, but her greatest joy came from her family. Elizabeth loved nothing more than spending quality time with her sons, her many grandchildren, as well as her great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth is also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Henry Cook and his wife Audrey.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Sellers and wife Pam of New Braunfels, Jeff Sellers and wife Rebecca of Bryan, and Michael Sellers of Lavernia; her cherished grandchildren, Lauren Sellers, Jessie Sellers, Christian Sellers, Joseph & Maddie Sellers, Tyler Sellers, Emily & Braden Kester, Madelyn Sellers, Madison Sellers, Bailee & Alek Deckert, Logan Sellers, Claire Sellers, and Makayla Sellers; her great grandchildren, Averi Sellers, Miles Sellers, and two more on the way; sisters-in-law, Patsy Johnston and her husband Don, Joy Cooke, and Ruth Davis and her husband Clifford; a brother-in-law, Michael Sellers; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers are Jeff Sellers, Michael Sellers, Tyler Sellers, Christian Sellers, Brian Davis, and John Johnston.
