Diana Rose (Macik) Mynarcik, age 74, of West, passed away Saturday evening, May 31, 2025 at her residence in West.
A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Diana was born on August 2, 1950, in Waco, the daughter of the late Henry and Georgia (Hejl) Macik Sr. Diana's journey through life was marked by her unwavering commitment to family, faith, and community. A proud graduate of Penelope High School in 1968, Diana continued her education at Texas State Technical College, where she later dedicated 34 years of her career as a Lab Assistant before retiring in 2013. On August 3, 1968, she married her beloved husband, Lawrence Joseph "Larry" Mynarcik, in a ceremony filled with love and promise. Together, they built a life rooted in shared values and cherished memories. Diana was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Her involvement extended to numerous organizations, including the KJZT Society #35 Penelope, the West Fair and Rodeo Association, the West VFW Post #4819 Auxiliary, the West Ag Booster Club, the West Band Booster Club, and the West Athletic Booster Club. Her contributions to these groups reflected her deep commitment to service and her love for her community. Diana had a passion for sewing, quilting, canning, and camping, activities that brought her joy and allowed her to share her creativity with those she loved. Above all, she treasured the time spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Attending their activities and events brought her immeasurable happiness.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 56 years, Larry Mynarcik; her children, Laurie Craig and husband Bobby, Larry Mynarcik Jr. and wife Jennifer, Jana Polansky and husband David, and Sherry Hueske and husband Billy; her grandchildren, Cailey Hudson, Clayton Hudson and wife Amanda, Macie Hennig and husband Brayden, Dakota Mynarcik and wife Traci, Blane Mynarcik, Matthew Hueske, and Morgan Hueske; great-granddaughter, Lennon Diane who is on the way; brothers, Henry Macik Jr. and wife Denise, and David Macik and wife Lillian; sisters, Gladys Adams and husband Ricky, Cathy Kaska and husband Larry, LuAnn Matula and husband Toby, and Mary Beth Kaluza and husband Mike; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers are Clayton Hudson, Dakota Mynarcik, Matthew Hueske, Blane Mynarcik, Morgan Hueske, and Brayden Hennig.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Volunteer Ambulance Association or St. Mary's Cemetery Association.
