Dan Frank Andrle, age 94, of Bellmead, formerly of Ennis, passed away late Friday afternoon, November 7, 2025.

Funeral Service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek officiating. Graveside Services will be held 3:30 p.m. Friday at Crisp Cemetery near Ennis. The family will receive visitors from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Dan was born on August 6, 1931, in Penelope, the son of Oscar and Annie (Novak) Andrle. His early years were marked by academic achievement and athletic prowess, He graduated from La Vega High School in 1951, where he was awarded the mathematics award, became a proud member of the National Honor Society, and earned accolades in track winning several medals. He also played baseball and did pole vault. With a sense of duty, he joined the United States Navy and served as a Machinist First Class on the Destroyer Escort 424 during the Korean War. After completing his military service, Dan pursued higher education, attending the University of Texas and later earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics from Baylor University. In 1961 he embarked on a successful career with Dow Chemical in Freeport, Texas, where he served in Research and Development in the Plastic Division, ultimately retiring as a supervisor for Quality Control Poly 2. Dan's career was a testament to his work ethic and passion for ensuring quality in every aspect of his life. On October 18, 1958, Dan married his lifelong partner, Jeanette Nesuda, in Ennis. Their marriage blossomed into a beautiful journey, filled with love, shared adventures, and cherished memories until Jeanette's passing on October 30, 1999. Together, they traveled extensively across Texas and the United States. Dan's interests extended beyond his professional life; he was an avid reader, a history enthusiast, and an insightful conversationalist who relished discussing current events and engaging with family and friends. He found joy in simple pleasures, from picnics in local parks to participation in family reunions, where his quick wit and kindness shone brightly. He remained a devoted brother to his sister, Mildred, exemplifying what it meant to be compassionate and supportive. When it came to simple things in life his motto always was "Give it your best shot".

Dan is also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Oscar Andrle; and a sister, Lillian Andrle. 

Survivors include his sister, Mildred Andrle of Bellmead; several cousins, including Frank Andrle and his special friend, Janice Kriegel; and many other relatives, friends and cats.

Pallbearers are Frank Andrle, Charles Andrle, Vince Cassano, Ike Pratka, and Craig Andrle.
