Connie Jean Parks, age 70, of Abbott, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 19, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Connie was born on February 5, 1955, in Denton the daughter of Tommy and Mary (McGraw) Rogers. She attended schools in Lewisville and was a proud graduate of Tarleton State University, Connie devoted her life to education, serving as a Special Education teacher in various area school districts. Her passion for teaching was evident in the dedication she showed her students, and her profound impact on their lives will be remembered by many. On August 11, 1972, Connie married Michael Parks, in a heartfelt ceremony in Mexico. Together, they created a warm and loving home filled with laughter, kindness, and compassion. Connie's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She thrived in the company of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who filled her heart with joy. An avid fisherman, Connie loved her time spent in Port Aransas. She was known for her cooking, fiery spirit and her innate ability to care for others always putting loved ones first.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Jackie Hudson.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 52 years, Michael Parks of Abbott; children, Charles "Cowboy" Parks and wife Brandi, and Jennifer Nolan and husband Mark; her grandchildren, Billy Parks and wife Alexis, Katheryn Charo, Logan Hudson, Jonathon Parks and wife Jessica, Lucy Nolan, and Rena Parks and husband Layton; great grandchildren, Aria, Aiden, Spencer, Ruby,and Wrenlee; her sisters, Barbara Lowery and Penny Clark; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
