Charlotte Ann Soukup

Charlotte Ann Soukup, age 60, of West, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in West. Memorial Services for Charlotte will be held at a later date.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Northcrest Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lacy Lakeview, with Howard Mann officiating.

Charlotte was born August 21, 1962 in Corsicana, the daughter of Betty (Brenton) and the late Charles Goodwin. She attended schools in West and Dallas and was a 1980 graduate of Dallas Sunset High School. On September 26, 1981 she was united in marriage to Joseph "Joe" Soukup Jr. in West. Charlotte was a member of the Northcrest Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lacy Lakeview. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from McLennan Community College School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse working at Providence Medical Center in Waco, Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco, Grant Buie Hospital in Hillsboro, West Community Hospital, West Rest Haven, and UpJohn Home Health for many years before retiring in 2015. She was very passionate about her work and taking care of her patients. Charlotte enjoyed reading, cooking, knitting and loved animals, especially her Chihuahuas. She never met a stranger and made an impact on all who knew her.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 42 years, Joseph "Joe" Soukup of West; her mother, Betty Goodwin of Whitney; three brothers, Charles Goodwin and wife Yvette, Christopher Goodwin, and Stacy Goodwin and wife Vicki; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
