Brent Raymond Kolar, age 44, of Hewitt, formerly of West, passed away late Saturday evening, April 4, 2026 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco surrounded by his family.

A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West.

Brent was born September 9, 1981, in Waco, the son of Raymond G. and Patricia (Neill) Kolar. He was a proud 2000 graduate of West High School. His journey continued at Texas State Technical College, where he earned an associate degree in 2003. This academic foundation propelled him into a fulfilling career as an Aircraft Flightline Lead Mechanic, a role he embraced for nearly 20 years at L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Waco. His commitment to his work was unwavering, reflecting his dedication and passion for all things aviation. On October 6, 2007, Brent united in love with Jessica Elbert in the quaint town of Tours, forging a life together filled with laughter, adventure, and shared dreams. Together, they found joy in attending St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco and were proud members of the KJT Society #31 in West. Brent's zest for life was evident in his many hobbies. He relished traveling, enjoyed playing golf with friends, and spent countless hours tinkering with cars and watches. Above all, his love for airplanes and aviation shone brightly throughout his life. But it was the moments shared with Jessica that held his heart, adventure and quiet evenings together became treasured memories.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 18 years, Jessica Kolar of Hewitt; his parents, Raymond G. and Patricia Kolar; a brother, Chad Kolar and wife Penny; a sister, Ashley Sinkule and husband Jim; nieces and nephews, Kane Kolar, Kanon Kolar, Adrian Bustillos, Jacob Bustillos, Brent and Katie Sinkule and their son Clyde, Hudson Sinkule, Brinley Sinkule, Ella Loyd, Holden Loyd, Mikhala Moennig, Michael Myers, and Addison Sharp; his parents-in-law, Jerry and Marie Elbert; sisters-in-law, Krystal Loyd and husband Aaron, and Emily Sharp and husband Billy; and many other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are Craig Sustala, Matt Sustala, Bryan Kolar, Keith Macy Jr., Kevin Neill, Nick Neill, and Wes Neill. Honorary pallbearers are past and present 11-1 Flightline members of L3Harris Technologies in Waco.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends.
