Brenda Jones

Brenda Ann (Hand) Jones, age 70, of Elm Mott, passed away late Sunday morning, June 1, 2025 at her residence.

The family will receive visitors from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Graveside Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2025 at White Rock Cemetery near Ross, with Dr. Stephen Ramsdell officiating.

Brenda was born on November 18, 1954, in Waco. She was the beloved daughter of John and Edythe (Goff) Hand. Brenda was a proud graduate of Connally High School, Class of 1973. On June 15, 1974, she was united in marriage to Milton Jones in Elm Mott, forming a partnership built on love and devotion. As a devoted member of the First Methodist Church in Waco, Brenda's unwavering faith and community spirit shone through in all aspects of her life. Brenda dedicated her professional life to serving as an Executive Assistant for Northern & Nye Printing and Office Supply in Waco, where she made a lasting impact on her colleagues and clients alike. Outside of her career, Brenda found joy in a myriad of activities. She was passionate about gardening, canning, cooking, and baking, often sharing her culinary creations with loved ones. Additionally, she enjoyed traveling, reading, and engaging her mind with puzzles, particularly Sudoku. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and attending all of their games and activities.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jim Hand; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Hammermeister.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 51 years, Milton Jones of Elm Mott; her daughters, Cari Jones and Christi Meza and husband Julian; her grandchildren, Jamilex Meza and Cody Ragsdale, Colton Grimm and wife Mia, Jailene Meza and Jake Garza, Cayson Grimm and Hope Davila, Hagen Kelley, Jocelynn Meza, Kamrie Jones-Meza, and Jaycee Meza; a great-granddaughter, Ruby, and a great grandson on the way; brothers, John Hand, and Barry Hand and wife Reyna; sisters-in-law, Gladys Hand and Vicky Hammermeister; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Colton Grimm, Cayson Grimm, Hagen Kelley, Jake Garza, and Cody Ragsdale. Honorary pallbearers are Greg Hammermeister, Doug Hand and Greg Hand.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Methodist Church Waco Meals on Wheels.
