Betty Dennis

Betty Dennis, age 86, of Leroy, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 16, 2016 at her residence. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at White Rock Cemetery near Ross, with Rev. Jeff Richter officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Betty was born March 31, 1930 in Lacy-Lakeview, the daughter of Cale and Bessie (Harris) May. She was a 1947 graduate of Waco High School. On September 20, 1948, she was united in marriage to Keller Dennis Jr. in Waco. Betty worked for West Community Hospital and was a bookkeeper for Dennis Brothers Plumbing in Waco. She was a member of The Leroy Church. Betty enjoyed reading. She especially loved spending time with her children and their families. Betty is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Warren May; and sisters, Mildred Oliver and Wilma May. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Keller Dennis Jr. of Leroy; her children, Keller Allen Dennis and wife Mary Jane of Waco, Paula Clements of Waco, Donna Stanley of China Spring and Dale Dennis Sr. and wife Sheilah of Leroy; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way; three great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
