Bennie Mae Perry, age 95, of Aquilla, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 15, 2026 at her residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. The family will receive visitors from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of service.
Bennie was born on May 25, 1930, in Gustine, Texas, to Jackson and Violet (Harkins) Mast. She was a proud graduate of Buckner Children's Home Academy in Dallas, where she laid the foundation for a life dedicated to God, family, and community. On January 5, 1950, Bennie was united in marriage to Andrew Perry, beginning a partnership that thrived until Andrew's passing on November 5, 1991. Bennie dedicated her life to being a homemaker, nurturing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with affection and care. A member of the Aquilla Baptist Church, Bennie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for sewing, quilting, gardening, and singing, activities that brought her great joy and connected her to those she loved.
Bennie is also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Audie and Lawrence Perry; a grandson, Michael Perry; great-grandson, Clayton Love; sisters, Mildred Cook, Sue Smith, and Mary Warren; and brothers, Billy Jack, Jake, Dock, James, and Byron Mast.
Survivors include her children, Romona Ellis, Andrea Lively and husband Rickey, Curtis Perry and wife Traci, Genita Dunlap and husband William, Barton Perry, Paul Perry and wife Teria, and Travis Perry and wife Michelle; a daughter-in-law, Mary Perry; 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 13 great great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Buckner Children's Home Academy or a memorial tree may be planted in Bennie's honor.
