Anna Ruth (Foit) Lovecky, of West, passed away early Saturday morning, September 13, 2025 at her daughter's residence in Waxahachie just shy of her 100th birthday.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Dr. Grant Kaul officiating. Burial will follow at West Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Anna Ruth was born on September 25, 1925, in West, to Joseph and Caroline "Carrie" (Horak) Foit. She graduated from West High School in 1944. On May 4, 1946, she married Steve Lovecky in West, and they shared many years together until his passing on September 26, 1989. A woman of strong faith, Anna Ruth was a devoted member of Fellowship Bible Church in Waco. She was also active in RVOS Lodge #48 and The Central Texas Cactus and Succulent Society. Dedicated to her community, she served for ten years on The Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board. Anna Ruth was proud to be a homemaker and worked alongside her husband on the family farm. Earlier in her life, she was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Dallas. She had a love for the outdoors and adventure, enjoying fishing, traveling, and going on cruises. One of her most cherished memories was climbing Mt. Whitney in California.
Anna Ruth is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joe, William "Bill", and Robert Foit; sisters, Lillian Foit, Helen Kudelka, Polly Barton, and Dorothy Schovajsa; a son-in-law, George Hentschel; and a granddaughter, Melissa Edmonds.
Survivors include her children, Steven Lovecky and wife Darlene of Birome, Joanna Hentschel of Waxahachie, Dianna Kalina and husband Greg of West, and Rosanna Millet and husband Walter of Cleburne; her grandchildren, Brian Edmonds, Stephanie Brunson and husband Brad, Ricky Lovecky and wife Adreanne, Justin Hentschel and wife Stefanie, Aaron Kalina and wife Kasandra, Rebekah Sams and husband Aaron, J.W. Millet III and wife Dana, Jason Hentschel and wife Sara, and Josh Millet and wife Amy; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers are Ricky Lovecky, Justin Hentschel, Aaron Kalina, J.W. Millet III, Jason Hentschel, and Josh Millet.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fellowship Bible Church,Post Office Box 21655, Waco, TX 76702.
