Amy Raye Holder

Amy Raye Holder, age 56, of Waco, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026.

Amy was a true free spirit with a huge heart, a beautiful soul from the inside out, and a love that was entirely unconditional. She found her greatest joy in the simple, beautiful things in life - whether she was expressing her creativity through crafting or soaking in the peace of nature outdoors by the river. Amy's vibrant spirit and generous, big-hearted nature will live on in all who knew and loved her.

Amy was preceded in death by her father, William "Dickie" Holder; her maternal grandparents, Donald and Veo Reese; and her paternal grandparents, Robert and Alice Holder.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her mother, Sherry Reese; her children, Amanda Oliver, Jerred Dearen (Krista), Crystal Willbanks (JD), and James Johnson; her siblings, Robert Dobbins (Yolanda), Deborah Holder-Sciortino (Anthony), JeanEtta Crain (Rodain), and her brother William Holder; her nine grandchildren; two nieces and three nephews; and her lifelong best friend, Venita (Bush) Yokus.

A celebration of life honoring Amy will be held at a later date.
