Bud was born August 17, 1948 in Waco, the son of Albin and Bernardine (Berger) Pavlicek. He graduated from West High School in 1966 and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours and he was deeply rooted in his community. He owned and operated Bud's Tiger Stop in West for many years, creating more than just a business. Bud's became a welcoming gathering place where locals could relax after a long day and enjoy good food and good company. Bud had a love for simple pleasures, especially playing cards and dominoes with friends, hunting, and spending time outdoors. He treasured his years living in Alaska and carried those memories close to his heart. Always a tinkerer, he found joy in working on cars and especially in the shop with his grandson, Chase. Known for his strong work ethic and kind spirit, Bud was dedicated to serving others and took pride in his role within the community.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents and his step-children, Carma Baggett-Smith and Chris Baggett.
Survivors include his grandson, Chase Kent and wife Rikki of West; great-grandchildren, Dexter and Cain Kent; brother, Larry Pavlicek and wife Betty of Fairview; sister, Catherine Spurlock and husband Jim of Ronan, MT; step-son, Monty Baggett of Spring; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Martin's Cemetery.
You are invited to share your thoughts and memories of Bud in our memorial guest book found at www.aderholdfh.com.
