Alma Lee Tetherow, age 91, of Robert Lee, Texas, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Sterling County Nursing Home in Sterling City.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Pastor Reggie Blake officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery in West. The family will receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Alma was born April 8, 1934 in Gunter, the daughter of Herschel Kinnaird and Lela Bledsoe. She was a 1951 graduate of Gunter High School. Alma's vibrant spirit and warm heart were felt by all who had the fortune of knowing her. On June 10, 1952, she married Keith Tetherow, and together they built a loving family. Alma was an active member of the Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Waco, where she found joy and fellowship. Professionally, Alma's nurturing nature shone brightly during her time as a cafeteria worker for Midway Independent School District for ten years. She also spent 21 years working at CertainTeed Corp and 6 years with Westview Manor, serving others with a kindness that defined her character. Alma found immense joy in traveling and cherished every moment spent playing with her great-grandchildren. Her laughter and love will resonate in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Alma is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and daughter, Peggy Watson.
Survivors include her children, Brian Tetherow of Waco, Philip Tetherow and wife Letezia of Sterling City, and Rebecca Evans and husband Sam of Paradise; son-in-law, Rick Watson; grandchildren, Todd Tetherow, Kayanna Tetherow, Ryan Zapata, Stephanie Potts, Yarnale Hayner, Jennifer Delaney, Ashley Richardson, Courtney Verastegui, John Watson, Jeremy Watson, Raven Newman, Bobby Tetherow, and Naomi Alexander; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Ryan Zapata, John Watson, Bobby Tetherow, Kolton Hayner, Cameron Alexander, and Todd Tetherow.
