Aline "Joyce" Brow, age 90, of Elm Mott, passed away Sunday morning, March 29, 2026 at Country Care Manor in La Vernia.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2026 at Gerald Cemetery near Elm Mott, with Gary Wines officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Friday prior to the service at Aderhold Funeral Home in West.
Joyce was born on December 11, 1935, in Leroy, to Alvin and Margaret (Clark) Casey. She graduated from West High School in 1953 and continued her education at Hill Junior College and McLennan Community College. She later earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University, followed by a Master of Science in Economics in 1975. On July 25, 1953, she married Rudolph Brow in Leroy. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2006. Joyce was a devoted member of Leroy Baptist Church, as well as the Independent Order of Oddfellows and Rebekahs. Throughout her career, she held several positions including finance clerk, payables supervisor, assistant comptroller, and comptroller at CertainTeed Corporation in Waco. She also shared her knowledge by teaching accounting classes for many years at McLennan Community College and Texas State Technical College, and later worked with Sovereign Management Corporation. Joyce found joy in sewing, creating arts and crafts, traveling, and collecting angel figurines. She especially cherished time spent with her family and loved meeting new people.
Joyce is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wayne "Tom Dooley" Casey, and Alvie Dorse "A.D." Casey; and sisters, Estelle Sonnenberg and Martha Jane Resendez.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Baker and husband Jerry, of Saint Hedwig; granddaughters, Jennifer and Melissa Baker; a sister, Wanda Landfried and husband Dean; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
