Sylvia Shepperd

Sylvia May (Evans) Shepperd, age 80, of Round Rock, formerly of Grenada, Mississippi, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 31, 2024 at her residence.

A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2024 at St. Mary's Cemetery near West, Texas. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West.

Sylvia was born May 11, 1944 in Hawthorne, Nevada, the daughter of Robert and Agnes (Savage) Evans. On May 1, 1991 she was united in marriage to Milton Russell Shepperd in Waco. Milton preceded her in death on July 11, 2011. She worked alongside her husband at Shepperd Cabinet Company in Chalk Bluff for several years; however, the role she took most pride in was mother and grandmother. She had a warm and nurturing spirit and loved sharing her passion for crafting by giving decorated cards with stickers, just to make people smile. Sylvia's bonds were strengthened by her dedication to spending time with family and friends. Her unique way of making others feel loved will be remembered fondly.

Sylvia is also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jack Evans; and a son-in-law, Bo Blancett.

Survivors include her children, James Hampton of Elm Mott, and Rebecca Wiggins of Round Rock; grandsons, Mason Blancett and Evan Blancett; a step-grandson, Caleb Tuggle; her sister, Amanda "Rosa" Adrian; her brothers, Robert "Bob" Evans Jr. and wife Linda, Joe Evans, and Chester Evans; a niece and caregiver, Cindi Evans; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are James Hampton, Mason Blancett, Evan Blancett, Tristan Torres, Jeff Butcher, Caleb Tuggle, Mike Cooper, Jeremy Hassell and Daniel Wiggins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Central Texas.
