Lois Marie Cvikel, age 60, of West, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away early Friday morning, February 24, 2006 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Fatima Cemetery near Abbott, with Rev. Tim Hardy officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Lois was born October 17, 1945 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Lois and Viola (Wilson) Majors. She attended schools in Hillsboro and was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. On October 26, 1963 she was united in marriage to Marvin M. Cvikel. Lois was a beautician for 32 years, for 5 years in Springtown, near Ft. Worth, and 27 years in Abbott. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic church in Abbott. Lois enjoyed crocheting, making dolls, ceramics, and fishing. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her beloved husband of 42 years, Marvin M. Cvikel of West; two sons, Joseph Cvikel and wife Crystal of Leroy and Danny Cvikel and wife Tammi of Unionville, Missouri; two daughters, Vickey Bartosh and husband David of Abbott and Shelley Cvikel of West; a sister, Patsy Reed of West; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
