Keith William Tetherow, age 70, of Waco, passed away Friday, September 16, 2005 in Temple. Funeral services will be held 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Brumit officiating. Military Graveside Rites will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, conducted by V.F.W. Post No. 4819 of West. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Tetherow was born on November 4, 1934, in Grants Pass, Oregon, the son of William and Nora Tetherow. He attended Wilderville and Jone Prairie Elementary schools in Oregon. In serving his country, he then joined the United States Air Force in 1953 until 1955. Keith married Alma Kinnaird on November 13, 1954 in Sherman. He worked for H&B Contractors as a heavy equipment operator. He also worked as a truck driver for Waco Sand and Gravel and did road construction for 17 years before retiring in May 2002. Keith loved to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed riding 4-wheelers and spending time with his family and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Alma Tetherow of Waco; two sons, Brian Tetherow of Waco and Philip Tetherow and his wife Letezia of Sterling City; two daughters, Annette Watson and her husband, Rick and Rebecca Evans and her husband Sam, all of Ft. Worth; his brother, Virgil Tetherow and his wife Lorna of Merlin, OR; his sister, Peggy French and her husband Mike of Beatty, NV; thirteen grandchildren, Todd Tetherow and his wife Namiko, Kayanna Tetherow, Ryan Zapata, Stephanie Potts, Naomi Alexander and her husband David, Raven Tetherow, Bobby Tetherow, Yarnale Hayner and her husband Charlie, Jennifer White and her husband Ernest, Ashley Mitcham, Courtney Evans, John Watson and his wife Diana, and Jeremy Watson and his wife Tiffney; six great-grandchildren, Angalina Tetherow, Tylisha White, Jacob Mitcham, Lauren Verastagui, Brooke Watson and Jeremy Blaine Watson; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Active pallbearers will be his grandsons, John Watson, Jeremy Watson, Todd Tetherow, Ryan Zapata, Bobby Tetherow, Charlie Hayner, and David Alexander. Honorary pallbearers will be the Gideon Class of Kendrick Lane Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to The Leukemia Society.
