Jerry L. Mynarcik

Jerry L. Mynarcik, age 71, of West, passed away early Friday morning, February 17, 2017 at his residence. A rosary will be recited 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation to follow until 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Paul Hudson as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Jerry was born December 22, 1945 in Cottonwood, the son of Wilma (Kramr) and Willie "Bill" Mynarcik. He attended school in Ross and was a graduate of West High School. On October 14, 1967, he was united in marriage to Christine Polansky in West. Jerry worked for Owens-Illinois Glass Plant in Waco for over 41 years before retiring in 2008. He then worked for the West Auction Barn. Jerry was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He was also a member of KJT Society #31 of West. Jerry enjoyed farming, raising cattle, hauling hay and cutting wood for customers. He especially loved hanging out with his sons and friends every evening. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Jamie Leann Jares; a son-in-law, Greg Jares; and brothers, Danny R. Mynarcik, Raymond Mynarcik and Jimmy Mynarcik. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Christine Mynarcik of West; sons, John Mynarcik and wife Jackie and Kenneth Mynarcik, all of West and Mark Mynarcik and wife Ronda of Chalk Bluff; twin daughters, Cindy Jares and Jeanette Ogden and husband Mark, all of West; a brother, Robert Mynarcik and wife Carol; granddaughters, Ashlee Mynarcik, Kristen Jares, Jenna Jares; step granddaughters, Whitney Barker and Kaylie Mynar; step great-grandsons, Maddox Montgomery and Hendrix Barker; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Chad Mynarcik, Tim Schulte, Robert Polansky, Bill Polansky, Bill Nors, Jerry Girard, Gary Straten and Ronnie Glatter. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry's nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the charity of your choice.
