Jason Janek

Jason M. Janek, age 43, of West, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at his residence. A rosary will be recited 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel followed by visitation until 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Jason was born February 4, 1976 in Waco, the son of Louis R. Janek Jr. and Kathy Tobola. He attended West schools and was a 1994 graduate of West High School. Jason was an excellent cook. He worked for several restaurants in the central Texas area and also recently worked for West Pallet Company. Jason was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He truly enjoyed visiting with friends and family and he was especially proud of being an uncle to his two nephews. Jason is preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Sarge and Stasie Janek, and Ernest and Marie Tobola; his aunts, Betty Jean Chudej and husband Bernard, and Patsy Jones; and an uncle, Harry Lee Tobola. Survivors include his dog, Bruno; a sister, Kim Sustala and husband Phil; nephews, Riley and Seth Sustala; his mother, Kathy Lozano; a half-sister, Stephanie Lozano; aunts, Nica Eckols and husband Shelby, Stasie Marie Cocek and husband Buddy, and Tappy Vanek and husband Allen; uncles, Bobby Joe Janek, Jonathan "Tiger" Janek and wife Susan, Ernest "Toby" Tobola and wife Doris Ann, and Emmett Jones; and many cousins, other relatives, and friends. Pallbearers are Aubrey Gerik, Bob Gerik, Jonathon Rogers, Jeremy Rogers, Brian Uptmor, Mike Sanford, Bobby Jones, Scott Podsednik, Choice Lynch, and Troy Willenborg.
