Fred W. "Bill" Schultz, age 78, of Bellmead, passed away early Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Gerry Davis, Rev. Jason Bay, and Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Military Graveside Rites will follow at West Brethren Cemetery, conducted by West V.F.W. Post No. 4819. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Schultz was born April 16, 1927 in Dubois, Nebraska the youngest and only son of Emil and Mary (Reddings) Schultz. He attended schools in Dubois and served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Fred married Evelyn Irene Marek on February 12, 1948 in San Diego, California. He worked for General Tire and Rubber Company in Waco for 30 years, before retiring in 1986. He loved being outdoors especially fishing and gardening. Fred was a faithful member of Timbercrest Baptist Church. His parents, nine sisters, and a son, Larry E. Schultz all preceded him in death. Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Evelyn Schultz; three daughters, Shara Davis and her husband Gerry of Seadrift, Sandy Borrenpohl and her husband Ron of Baytown, and Debbie Connor and her husband Nick of Crawford; three sisters, Laura Fritch and husband Alvin and Luella Baer all of Pawnee City, Nebraska, and Mary Ellen Glenn of Wichita, Kansas; four grandchildren, John Connor, Matthew Connor, Robert Lee Davis, and Melissa Davis; two great grandsons, Trent and Hunter Davis; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Ron Borrenpohl, Nick Connor, Lee Davis, Matt Connor, Gary Habegger, Danny Husak, and Edwin Husak. Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Community Hospice, Timbercrest Baptist Church, or the American Cancer Society.
