Faye Wingate

Faye (Schulz) Wingate, was called up to be with her Lord on June 21, 2024, in Hillsboro, at the age of 94. Born on August 9, 1929, in Hill County, near Whitney, Faye dedicated her life to Jesus Christ, family, and God's Word.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2024 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Burial will follow at Yates Cemetery in Peoria. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Faye loved and adored her husband, Charles, of 65 years. A committed born-again Christian, Faye was a member of the First Baptist Church in West, where she actively engaged in serving her Lord, teaching Bible classes, and was a faithful prayer warrior. Her devotion to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior was the foundation of her life. Her longing desire was for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to surrender to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Professionally, Faye served as a Special Education Teacher in Channelview, Texas, for 21 years. Her passion for supporting and nurturing children with special needs left a lasting impact on countless lives.

In her leisure time, Faye enjoyed playing cornhole at Wesley House and Mexican train at Stilwell Retirement Home, activities that brought her much happiness and camaraderie.

Faye's personal life was rich with love and joy, especially in her family. She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Ford; sons, Larry Wingate and his wife, Krissy, and David Wingate and his wife, Kelle; her sister, Betty Willis; grandchildren, Dwight, Brandon, Amanda, Joel, Adam and Victoria; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Kendall, Cameron, Collin, Dean, Braxton, Austin, Logan, Brooklyn, Addison, and Savannah. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Charles; son-in-law, Dwight Ford Sr.; and her brother, Billie Schulz.

Pallbearers are Dwight Ford Jr., Brandon Wingate, Joel Wingate, Adam Wingate, Caleb Ford, and Louis Erebia.
