Dorothy Ann Hinson

Dorothy Ann Hinson, age 83, of Frisco, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 18, 2021 at Medical City Hospital in Frisco. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Terry McElrath officiating. Private burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Dorothy was born December 24, 1937 in West, the daughter of Adolph and Lena (Sulak) Grellhesl. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School in West and was a 1956 graduate of West High School. She received a full scholarship in nursing however decided to be a wife and mother instead. On February 28, 1959 she was united in marriage to James Hinson in Waco. Dorothy was a wonderful homemaker and mother. She also worked for American Amicable Life Insurance Company in Waco for several years. She enjoyed spending her spare time reading and sewing. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Helen Levchik; her brother, Jimmy Joe Grellhesl; and a nephew, Pete Levchik Jr. Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, James "Jim" Hinson; her daughter, Sherry Ann Hinson; nieces, Pat Zimmerman, Donna Stone and husband Allan, Joyce Blanchard and husband Peanut, and Julie Johnson and husband Scott; many great nieces and nephews including, Shana Zimmerman; close family friends, Brandy Haney and Ben Stroman; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
