Denise Ann Busby

Denise Ann Busby, age 50, of West, passed away early Thursday morning, July 29, 2010 in Aquilla. Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, with Minister Bob Martin officiating. Denise was born on October 10, 1959 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Robert Allen and Cora Lee "Huffy" (Huffstutler) Busby. She attended schools in West and graduated from West High School in 1977. She was a grocery store clerk, having worked for Skaggs and Albertson's in Waco, and at Safeway in Dallas for a number of years. She also had worked as a forklift operator at the Army and Air Force Exchange Service in Waco. Denise loved deep sea fishing, taking care of her dogs, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her mother. Survivors include her father, Robert Busby; a brother, Bobby Busby; a sister, Sheryl Porter and her husband Dennis, all of West; a sister-in-law, Ann Machac and husband Danny, of Aquilla; step-mother, Norma Busby of San Angelo; nieces, DeLayne Chudej and husband David, Darla Gerik and husband Troy, Tracy Busby and Jaime Bates; nephews, Keith Porter and Troy Porter; ten grand-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bluebonnet Hospice in Waco.
