Bonnie Vicars

Bonnie Fay Vicars, age 73, of Abbott, passed away Friday afternoon, February 3, 2023, at Providence Health Center in Waco.

Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Duane Hoxworth officiating.

Bonnie was born March 8, 1949 in Ft. Worth, the daughter of Rual and Velma (Berry) White. She attended Euless Elementary School and was a 1967 graduate of Arlington High School. Bonnie also graduated with a degree in Nursing from McLennan Community College in 1989. She was a member of the Praise Temple Church in Waco. Bonnie worked as a registered nurse for Grant Buie Hospital from 1972 to 1990, West Community Hospital from 1990 to 2002, then with Whitney Hospital until her retirement. Bonnie enjoyed reading and sewing. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nancy Jackson.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicki Vicars of Abbott; her son, Michael Vicars of Bynum; a sister, Norma Burns; four grandchildren, Bonnie Juarez and husband Eric, Christian Holtz, Bree Brim, and Gabrielle Brim; two great-grandchildren, Ezekiel Michael and Elizah Reign Juarez; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation.
