Angeline B. Lenart

Angeline Lenart, age 82, of Crockett, formerly of West, passed away Tuesday evening, August 16, 2005 at the East Texas Medical Center in Crockett. A rosary will be recited 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Vincent Chacko, IMS as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Lenart was born on January 12, 1923 in Burleson County, Texas, the daughter of Frank and Albertina (Susik) Chromcak. She attended schools in Burleson County. In 1955, she married James Thomas "Jim" Lenart in Crockett. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1965. Angeline worked for over forty years as a beautician in her own shop known as Angeline's Beauty Shop until her retirement in 1995. She loved going to family reunions and weddings. Angeline also enjoyed working on puzzle, quilting, and making her own arts and crafts. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, K.J.Z.T. Society No. 11, and the Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 829, all in West. Her parents; a son, James Lenart, who died on September 26, 1988; a brother, Frank Chromcak; and three sisters, Louise Chromcak, Agnes Charanza and Albina Urban, all preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Bill Lenart of Corsicana; a brother, George Chromcak and wife Vera of Crockett; two sisters, Frances Brown and Mary Chromcak, both of Crockett; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Active pallbearers are Albert Charanza, Ray Lenart, Joe Lenart, Emil C. Charanza, George Charanza and Bernard Lenart, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Bernard Lenart, Sr., Raymond Charanza, Daniel Svrcek and Joe F. Charanza. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Parish Center.
