Amy Kaluza

Amy Marie Kaluza, age 32, of West, passed away Friday morning, September 15, 2023 at her residence.

A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Walter Dhanwar as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Amy was born December 18, 1990 in Waco, the daughter of Michael and Mary Beth (Macik) Kaluza. She was a 2009 graduate of West High School and was in a life skills class being very empathetic to special needs children and loved everyone there. Amy was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She had worked at Goodwill Industries after graduating from school and volunteered with the Friends for Life in Waco. Amy enjoyed playing with her dogs, Trixie and Dixie and her donkey "Peppy". She enjoyed doing puzzles, camping, watching movies, was an avid West Trojan and Texas A&M Aggie Fan. Amy loved getting together with all her family and was always happy when a new baby was born.

Amy is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John and Wilma Kaluza; maternal grandparents, Henry and Georgia Macik; a sister, Rebecca Ann Kaluza; and a cousin, Mandy Macik.

Survivors include her loving parents, Michael and Mary Beth Kaluza of West; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are Keith Macik, Mark Kaluza, Allen Kaluza, David Kaluza, Ricky Adams Jr., Nathaniel Matula, and Larry Mynarcik Jr. Honorary pallbearers are all of her uncles.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery Association or West Ambulance Association.
