Alma Trevino, age 76, of West, passed away early Thursday afternoon, August 12, 2021 at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco. A rosary will be recited and Memorial Service held 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with David Snipes officiating. LIVE STREAM of the service will be provided. Alma was born April 21, 1945 in Limestone County, the daughter of Juan Urive and Nativita Garcia. She attended school in Prairie Hill. On August 18, 1963 she was united in marriage to Estevan Trevino in Waco. She worked for Plantation Foods for many years, Wolf's Manufacturing in West, and then decided to stay home and care for her children. Alma was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She enjoyed doing word puzzles, embroidery, crocheting, and spending time with her family, especially caring for her grandchildren. Alma truly loved the holidays and provided many delicious meals for the gatherings. Alma is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Maggie, Faye, Isidore, George, and Manuel. Survivors include her beloved husband of 58 years, Estevan Trevino; her children, Dolores Castillo and husband Ralph, Jeanette Barrera and husband Herman, and Johnny Trevino and wife Judy; a sister, Martha; grandchildren, Amber and husband Mike, Ralph Jr. and wife April, Frank and girlfriend Sara, Stephanie, Michael, Christopher and wife Noemi, Donald and wife Bree, and Lauren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
